You never know what the season is going to bring to the farm. March was very warm bringing much excitement about an early spring! Just as the tomatoes were planted into the hoophouse a surprise snow storm blanketed the area. Freezing temperatures in early May brought a few sleepless nights as we worried if the strawberry blossoms would be froze out. We managed to suffer little damage to the crops. Hot and dry weather followed for the most of the summer. We had record yields of peppers and a beautiful crop of pumpkins. Our first crop of oilseed sunflowers also did well this year. Overall, it was a great year and now we just wait to see what the next one will bring!
