Georgia Candy Roaster

$5.00 / squash

This large (6 to 8 lbs) heirloom squash is not only a unique decoration but also a delectable treat! Originally cultivated by the Cherokee Native Americans in the Appalachian Mountains of the southeastern portion of the United States. This is a smooth and sweet squash. Substitute in recipes that use winter squash or sweet potato. This squash can be fried, baked, or roasted. Make into a purée and use like you would puréed pumpkin in breads, pies, or pasta dishes.
